Meet Kristin, A Weekend Event Director

Originally from Jackson, Michigan, Kristin graduated from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism. Throughout college, she specialized in special events and had four very different internships that helped her to diversify her talents. She also worked with several non-profits raising money and awareness for different causes.

Kristin moved to Nashville in October 2016 and was lucky enough to meet Angela by chance. She has worked with her on several events and has had such a blast! Now, Kristin works as a leasing agent in West End Nashville. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know her residents as customer service is a true passion.

In her free time, Kristin likes to explore the outskirts of Nashville with her dog Charles. She is also working diligently on her bucket list. Next up? Skydiving and white water rafting!

Get to know more about Kristin in our Q&A below and be sure to say hello to her if you see her at your event!

What is your personality like? If you have done True Colors, what are your colors?
I am almost 100% orange with blue tendencies. I can fly by the seat of my pants and enjoy adventures, but having a plan isn’t all that bad!

What is your favorite part about executing an event?
I love the process! There is so much that goes into every aspect. It reminds me of being in school plays. You know that something may not have gone as planned, but the trick is to make sure no one knows.

What drew you to work at Angela Proffitt, LLC?
I have been so fortunate to have met Angela and to work with her. I admire her passion and work ethic. It is a true blessing to be able to live your passion. Learning from the best doesn’t hurt either!

Favorite Travel Spot? Why?
I traveled to the Caymen Islands with family on a cruise, and I would love to go back someday soon!

Pets?
I have a dog that looks like a dingo named Charlie!

Anything else you want our clients to know about you?
I live to serve. This is why I chose Hospitality. I have been lucky enough to have some really amazing mentors, and my hope is that someday I can give back as much as I have been given.
