Free Your TIme by Increasing Your Productivity

For anyone to say or think that the pandemic has not been horrible for businesses; it kind of has…but I will say that a lot of great things have come out of it too! For instance, here is a rave from a Jenn who attended a virtual workshop where I spoke on Productivity during the pandemic and how to works with your client and team members during this time!

Hoping and praying we will have a vaccine for COVID-19 soon; but preparing ahead for round two is a must this time.  I was just reading an article from another entrepreneur who told Forbes that the pandemic has for sure had a major decline in work productivity. With so much uncertainty, this brings on more and more stress, like more than ever before.  But you can shift your mindset. We have all been given a new outlook on life. I don't know about you, but I definitely realigned my priorities with how I spend my time now. I am already nuts about tracking time, but I ask myself do I want to be this busy?  I can always say no, and so can you.

One thing that is so difficult is a daily routine, at least for me.  Everyday looks different; well until the pandemic.  Zoom meeting, after more zoom meetings consumed my days. But one thing I kept was a morning routine.  I learned to cook eggs in the morning because I suddenly had time. I shifted my morning gym time for treadmill desk walks throughout the day (since the gym was closed anyway). I am focused during the day, but I can't sit in the same place and work all day.  I rotated every 2 or so hours! And it's been ok, but I am ready to get back to some of the normal things we used to do.

Now if you are running a company, you have to ask yourself, how are your team members doing? Humans are not used to so much isolation, which can be super depressing. Loneliness and social isolation can be twice as harmful to physical and mental health. So how are you helping your team members during this difficult time? We zoom or talk daily with our team members and I read studies where showing faces on zoom has helped.  Humans need people interaction! There is zoom fatigue, it's a thing! But I am very thankful for the technology.

Two take aways:

1. Evaluate your mindset and prioritize your needs to stay healthy during this challenging time. This will help with productivity.

2. Continue to do what you do but in a different way.  For example, I have been so thankful for all of the online resources and conferences that have been circulating the internet during this time.

We will come out stronger than ever before!
