This podcast will be a little different special, real raw BTS of how the family life line activity went. Yes, I'm a few drinks in walking at my treadmill desk at 1am. So I forgot to put audio mic on turn background music off. Sorry in advance. This is why sleep is important though.
But life is so short to worry about such small shit. My mama likes to tell stories. Never know what you're gonna get.
Two of my nieces are like, Oh, we're using paper. like who are you? I don't write. But we don't all have iPads in our opinions here.
So if you did their family activity, how did it go?
I thought I would share a little bit about how my family
got
away. Thank you for hanging out a little in the name of
actually, much better than I expected.
And I just have to start off by saying that manifestation is that our work is a real thing. Like it is a real thing. Now our family we don't always see eye to eye and that's okay.
Sometimes it's hot and sometimes it's cold. It's like you never know what you're gonna get. It's like a surprise. A good surprise or maybe not so good surprise.
So I had these activities. And these games planned and of course like Pamela pumpkin tiktoks And I'm like I am going in there like positive Holly Pamela pumpkin princess and we're going to have a fucking fun day. Regardless if anyone tries to bring us down.
We just go the same way. You're gonna like punch the air like this, but with your foot out. Punch the air
like that. Just like that.
And everyone got along today was actually really nice. We took a family picture. We took a family videos, we have this or vacuum over here. Ready? What do we say? I'm gonna say Happy Thanksgiving 123.
Manifestation is a thing is a real thing. So here's how the activity with my mama likes to tell stories. Okay, so everyone's got their own piece of paper and two of my niece's are like, Oh, we're using paper. Like, who are you? I don't write, but we don't all have iPads and our parents here. Step one is write your name on your
piece of paper, okay. And then you draw a line in the year you were born in the year that we are now. That's really step one and step two. Okay. So let me tell you how we did on step one. And I realized that I didn't give specific enough directions because some people did it vertical rather than horizontal. And so we had to turn the page over. Okay, so we got this right, everyone had their own color. I had my colored by fancy colored pencils from St. Moritz when I was in Switzerland a few months ago, they MK got hers down. So we are doing pretty good. Not sure who he was. They didn't quite follow directions as kind of like our first one. Before he even has one. She's three, her line got a little
crooked. This is where I start writing
and filling things out. Like just the stories started to flow. It was so cute.
And then Caroline, do you remember that picture? When we were sitting on the floor? Me you and Robert with those wine bottles? And Robert was like to he was like Oreos, a corkscrew opening? Exactly. Yeah, almost every single person, God made it through to step one, your name. And step two, draw them with the year you're born in the year it is now. And then going through and say what is the HA? And what is the what's the most impactful things for each year. And we all really needed our mom, because I mean, who remembers that far back? I don't. But our mother has like baby books, and she saves everything. And like, oh my god, it's like, so cute, but kind of annoyed. And I mean, but it's like, I'm so thankful in tongues like this, because the whole point was to sit down and share stories together, like as a family. So like, just learn, and like, you know, relive some of those memories. So we started to fill things out. And my mother did. She just doesn't follow directions very well. But, but She means well, and she just her stories are hilarious, like all over the place. But what I'm listening for is, is a theme, like a pattern, like what's the common theme and a common pattern here. And so there were two things that I was pulling out Nazma family like after about the fourth time, I noticed that I'm like, does anyone catch on to this pattern here. And they just kind of looked at me like, yeah, and you're weird.
But two things that I noticed is consistently my mother
was like, your father was always working. He was always working, your father was never there, your father was always working. Now my mother did not work. And they had three children. I'm the oldest, and he had to provide for our family. But he traveled a lot. And so he's gone a lot. And And now as an adult, I understand he had a really fucking dangerous job. But he lived for it. And he loved it anyway. But even when he was at home, it's like, he wasn't really present.
And like he didn't have access to like some of the tools and the mentors and the consultants and like Ontario organizations, like all these
amazing tools that can help you grow if you have the capacity in the room to take the men and then put them into action. Oh my god, I totally lost my train of thought. Anyway, back to the common themes, the pattern, yeah, that my dad was always working. And then my sister's kids when we got to their years when they were born. And what they remembered for the hand was there was a common theme about talking about what they were wearing, and clothing. And my sister was, is I think is so very particular about what her children were, which I know some parents are like that. I mean, that's great. But they all were saying something about how their mom hated the pair of pants that they wore to the hospital when one of their siblings was born. And that's what they remember. And then another time, it was like, she didn't like an outfit. I don't know. But like, I've never argued so much about clothes in my life. Like, we're whatever the fuck you want to wear, like I was homeless half the time, like, oh my god, it's just like, life is so short to worry about such small shit anyway. But the whole point was was just to like share stories, and map the lifeline and like look for some common threads and themes. And then like my brother, they're about to have a baby hopefully this week.
And it's like, these are the types of traditions that like, I wish that my parents would have known.
I mean, they were all
Awesome parents, but it's like, again, we didn't have access to all these, like personal development like self development and team development and growth tools and all this stuff. So
I didn't get as far as I would have have liked to get today with the family, but it's progress, right? It's progress, progress. And when you never know what you're gonna walk into.
That's a pretty good day. It's pretty good day. We did a bunch of TiC TOCs. Well, mainly Pamela pumpkin. And we, I learned a new one. The words that we came up for the new one, oh, my god, y'all. It's so funny.
We come up with like,
like, what the actual hell, those dances were fun.
And then we went house hunting again, because every time we're in the city where my brother lives, my mother wants to go house hunting, because she wants the whole family to move back out to the country. Now, prior to covered, I would have been like hail to the know, after COVID. And I'm like, Man, I can work anywhere in the world. And I haven't worked in all over the world. What are you doing? I'm like, it doesn't really matter where I live. But the next time I move or whatever I build next, like not in any hurry. It's a lot of upkeep, especially when you travel a lot. It's like, I just don't know. I mean, we have plans and everything. But it's funny when you plan for a living for other people. You don't really want to plan for yourself. Thank God, I have ego. Otherwise, I would never have goals to push myself to set very specific goals for myself and the company. And I know I'll wait to the last minute sometimes I'm sorry, you may end up Mmm, I'm really sorry. We always get the girls write a really shitty feed today. It was so fucking good. I'm very thankful for my treadmill. This Oh my god. I'm so thankful for my treadmill desk and the technician that came out in fixing the general desk. I feel like shit, and I feel tired and I feel sluggish. That's what sugar does to you. And smack smack ahead.
So we're going to like, work out and clean up and wake up tomorrow and have a clean fresh day at my treadmill desk.
We got some catching up today. We launched walking work, walk and work.co for workshops on wellness. I'm so excited. We're gonna be putting out the city schedule and where we're going. Oh my god. Oh my gosh. Okay, one really, really, really important thing happened today. And I want to document it. I'm so proud of my base, y'all. I'm so proud like such a proud aunt moment. She borrowed my good gloves. Like my good, nice. Designer iPhone tap gloves at this wedding is that our wedding we had last weekend and I'm like, Hannah, you took my gloves home by accident Sweet Pea, and like I really need them the other night. She's like, Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I guess okay, you just bring them on Thanksgiving Day. Normally me I'm like, hey Siri, remind me Thursday at noon to get my gloves from Hannah. Oh my god, Siri things I've been talking to her. But I didn't. I forgot to. I forgot set a reminder to get my gloves for next Thursday. And she gets there today. And she's like, Angela, here's your gloves. I kept them in my pocket in my coat pocket all week. So I wouldn't forget to give them to you. And I'm like, Oh my God, you're maturing on your own. And you're remembering and you are like muttering more. And so it tells me like I can start giving her more responsibilities, like when she's running events. And she's mentioned a few times about like, you know, eventually like taking over the company and like working on the business side and hold on. With a long way to go. Before we get that far. There's always that that potential, right? Like, I'm so proud, like, I didn't even have to ask for them. And I probably would just not remember until the next time my hands were really cold. And I needed I mean I have other sets of gloves but like those are like my favorite gloves. You know? You just have your favorites. I did not eat dessert tonight. But of course my mother sends me home with high and like her famous like cream cheese roll. Pumpkin Bread, so freaking good. So I'm going to eat some pumpkin bread and then walk another 1000 steps.
Because that's my rule.
But thank you for being here. I'm so grateful for you. Keep moving.
Here's some video behind the scenes.
Okay, so it's Pee Wee Herman so it's Pee Wee Herman
And then drive, roll, punch, swat the flies.
And then you like do this thing with your feet like heel, toe, heel toe, and then it's like lick, lick lick. And then you're having a baby. Oh my god, it's coming out and then shoot the ducks in the air. Yeah. Okay, you're gonna go.
Okay, so roll, and you're gonna go here. So heels, toes, heels, and you're gonna go then. Oh, wait, shit. Why? What are you doing? Right? With your thumb like this? Like Hat. Hat hat. Yeah. Okay, yeah, so
I think going a bit over like you're hurt

And then you're gonna do Oh, and then
you're gonna do the oh, we're having a baby. That's right.
And then it's gonna be the
it's gonna and then we're having the baby and then we're having a baby and holy shit. It's coming. Right
