Building a Successful Business Shouldn’t Cost You Your Health

There are certain topics that seem to come up everywhere you turn. Right now, in my world, longevity is one of them.

If you've followed me for a while, you've probably noticed something has changed. My content used to revolve around events, leadership, communication, entrepreneurship, and yes… plenty of dancing. Those things still matter to me, but over the last several years, another topic has become impossible to ignore: my health.

A few years ago, most conversations around health focused on weight loss, fitness goals, or the latest supplement everyone was taking. Today, the conversation feels different. More people are asking bigger questions.

How do you maintain your energy as you get older?

How do you stay mentally sharp?

How do you continue building a successful career, supporting your family, traveling, and enjoying life without feeling completely depleted in the process?

The older I get, the more I realize success means very little if you don't feel well enough to enjoy it.

My wake-up call came when COVID hit and the hospitality industry came to a standstill.

Looking back, I thought I was successful because my calendar was full. I was speaking around the country, running businesses, planning incredible events, and helping thousands of people. But the truth is, I wasn't taking care of myself. My health wasn't a priority until it had to become one.

COVID forced me to stop, and for the first time in years, I realized I had built a life that looked successful from the outside but didn't feel healthy on the inside.

You can have a growing business, a full calendar, meaningful relationships, and exciting opportunities, yet still feel like you're constantly trying to catch up with your own energy. You may find yourself pushing through brain fog, poor sleep, stress, recovery challenges, or simply not feeling as vibrant as you once did.

The problem is that many of us have accepted those things as normal.

They're not.

I did it too until life forced me to stop.

When you get a second chance, something changes.

The discipline kicks in.

You stop chasing success at the expense of your health and start realizing your health is what makes everything else possible.

When you're a better person to yourself, you're a better leader to others.

That's where real impact begins.

My wellness journey is only one of the reasons I've become increasingly interested in the conversations happening around longevity, prevention, recovery, and proactive healthcare. Not because I want to live forever, but because I want to feel my best, have more energy, and enjoy every stage of life while I'm here.

Today, Next Health has become part of my weekly routine.

I've started scheduling meetings there and introducing other entrepreneurs to the space because it's become somewhere I genuinely enjoy spending time. It's one of the few places where investing in your health feels just as natural as investing in your business.

I've personally experienced many of the services, from hyperbaric oxygen therapy and IV therapy to comprehensive bloodwork and recovery treatments. Instead of guessing what my body needs, I'm learning how to make decisions based on real data. That has completely changed how I think about my health and my future.
