I’ve had the incredible opportunity to be involved in planning and executing the Wealth Of A Woman mural, a piece dedicated to celebrating 50 years of financial freedom for women. It’s more than just art; it’s a symbol of transformation and empowerment.
The process began with a spark of inspiration. We had an incredible artist—one of our clients—visiting Nashville for a content strategy session with GSD Creative. As luck would have it, her trip coincided perfectly with the launch party for Wealth Of A Woman. When opportunity knocks, you connect the dots and make things happen! So, I invited her to the launch breakfast, and the moment she stepped into the room, she was immediately inspired.
What started as a simple idea—to capture the journey from financial dependence to independence—quickly grew into something much bigger. Like all creative projects, the concept evolved as we brainstormed ideas, sketched designs, and fine-tuned the colors and messaging. Every step required thoughtful collaboration, ensuring the mural wasn’t just a pretty backdrop but a meaningful piece of art that would resonate with women and inspire them to take control of their financial futures.
Seeing the wall evolve—first from yellow to a clean off-white primer, then sketched and layered with vibrant colors—reminded me that building anything meaningful, whether a mural or a healthier relationship with money, takes patience and intention.
