Thank you for supporting my podcast, Weddings Unveiled. I hope you’ve found the stories, tips, and lessons helpful for your wedding or event planning business. This week’s episode is about knowing who your ideal customer is, knowing who your ideal customer isn’t, and being okay with not helping every potential client that comes your way.
Episode 9: You Can’t Help Everybody (And That’s Okay!)
As event planning professionals, our first instinct is to help everyone that walks through our door – big or small event, local or destination, even big or small budget. However, over the years I’ve learned this simple truth: You can’t be everything to everybody. And that’s okay!
One of the ways I learned this lesson was by working with a bride who fell outside the lines of my ideal client profile. I knew it wasn’t the right fit, but I wanted to try and help her anyway. In the end, the experience wasn’t good for either of us. I learned to trust my instincts and stay in my lane. Listen to the full episode to hear the story!
