The Moment Everything Changed

In January of 2025, I was invited to be the keynote speaker at the Emerge Event Collective retreat in Denver (huge thank you to founder Sarah Roshan for sharing her incredible community with me 🧡).

It was the first time I shared my full biohacking journey, one that began after a near-death experience in 2021. For years I’d been healing from burnout (and still work on it every day). But this was the moment I put it all out there. I shared the shifts I made one small step at a time that completely transformed how I feel.

If you’re not familiar with the term biohacking, don’t worry. I get it! It sounds techy. But really, it’s just about tuning into your body and shifting your habits in a way that actually works for you.

Real Talk: Vulnerability Isn’t Easy

Most people are happy to share their wins, but to stand in front of a room and share your failures? Your pain? That takes a different kind of strength. It took therapy. It took healing. It took proof (real results) before I was ready to speak up. I became my own case study and that day in Denver, I was ready.

In the crowd sat someone who just needed to hear that there’s a different path. A better one. Because when you’re honest, and you track what matters, and you actually share the truth; the right people hear you.

Meet Brian Franklin

After my talk, Brian and his wife came up to me. A few minutes into my keynote, he’d already pulled out his phone and bought a walking pad. He laughed and said I “cost him thousands of dollars” before I even finished speaking 😄

Then he opened up. He told me he was at his heaviest weight ever… and that something had to change. He was ready. His wife already had a standing desk, so they were halfway there. They just needed a story. A spark. Proof that change is possible.

Brian like so many other entrepreneurs, just needed to hear that biohacking works. It’s a simple formula, but you have to follow it. Even if you don’t know what you’re optimizing for yet, movement creates clarity.

Fast Forward...

Brian sent me his data from the app we set up during the retreat. He was days away from walking 10,000 steps a day for 30 days straight. I was shocked. Not because he could do it, but because he actually followed through. And because people say they will, but most don’t. (That’s not judgment, it’s just that most haven’t hit that pain point deep enough to really change.)

We became fast friends and I became his cheerleader. His wife joined in and now walks 10K steps a day too! This is the ripple effect. It’s not about money, it’s about longevity. Because your health is your wealth. 💪
